Mount Batur
Mount Batur is an active volcano located at the center of two concentric calderas north west of Mount Agung on the island of Bali, Indonesia. The south east side of the larger 10×13 km caldera contains a caldera lake.

Mount Batur
- It was a last minute decision to climb Mount Batur in a recent trip to Bali, Indonesia. I got picked up at 1:30am before heading to the meeting point. With a friendly local guide, we started hiking after 3:30am and reached the top after 90 minutes or so. Definitely tiring but definitely worthwhile especially when we got our coffee. From Mount Batur, you can see Mount Abang and Mount Agung (an active volcano).
